On 4th March True Harvest Seeds made the trip to Ballynure Village for Ballynature Day. Unable to run since 2020 due to the pandemic, we were delighted to be invited back for 2023. Taking place in the church hall, Ballynature Day is packed with organisations all rallying together to talk about one thing…Nature! There was a total of 30 organisations, with presence from Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA), Centre for Environmental Data and Recording (CEDaR), RSPB, Live Here Love Here, Belfast Hills Association, Grassroots NI, Copeland Bird Observatory (CBO), Belfast Naturalists Field Club, and Ulster Wildlife just to mention a few!
With a brilliant buzz through the two halls, lots of kids and parents were getting involved in helping out nature. Alongside the stalls there were talks, demonstrations, storytelling and face painting making it a really worth while day out! Thanks to Ballynure Village for bringing back this well loved event, we’re looking forward to next year already! You can keep an eye on what’s happening next year on the Ballynure Village facebook page.
