This population originates from Co Down. Irish Grid reference: J570378.
Rhizomatous/stolonic perennial. Green leaved basal rosette, leaves have the toothed appearance that gave it its old genus name.

Benefits:
The late flowers are good for pollinators considering hibernation and the seeds are popular with birds.

Common throughout the country. There are variants in different habitats, mountains and salt marshes.
