On the 18th of September 2024, we had the pleasure of welcoming friends, supporters, and new faces to True Harvest Seeds for our Open Day 2024.
It was a day filled with community spirit, learning, and appreciation for the importance of seed conservation – and we couldn’t be more grateful for the turnout.
The weather was absolutely glorious, which set the perfect tone for the day. The sunshine reflected the energy of all the wonderful people who came through our gates.
We were thrilled to host volunteers, members, representatives from public bodies, government officials, and members of the public. All united by a common interest in preserving our native flora.
Our keynote speech kicked off the event, providing valuable insights into our latest projects and the future of seed conservation in the region.
We followed that with a lively Q&A session, where our guests shared thoughtful questions, ideas, and their passion for protecting our plant heritage.
The tour of our site gave everyone a chance to see our work in action. From wildflower seeds to our native plants, our visitors explored our efforts first-hand. We also offered a special homemade vegetarian lunch, which was a hit with everyone – a chance to pause, enjoy some good food, and chat with fellow nature enthusiasts. From apple pressing demonstrations, to our plant and product sales. There was never a dull moment this year!
As we wrap up another successful Open Day, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came to spend the afternoon with us. Your support, your questions, and your presence make a world of difference.
